SCAR TISSUE

Everything in your body is interconnected ...

Our bodies are made up of many different tissues, including muscles, nerves, organs, blood vessels, bones and joints. Enveloping these tissues and holding them all together is the connective tissue called fascia. If you've every cooked a chicken, you've probably seen this thin, semitransparent tissue enveloping each group of muscle. If you haven't seen fascia, you could envision it as a sheet of Saran Wrap that surrounds and connects every tissue in our bodies. Through the fascia, everything in our bodies are interrelated.

Restrictions or imbalances in movement cause problems. Motion is a sign of life. Everything moves in space and in time, and humans are no exception to this rule. Appropriate movement is essential for healthy tissues and organs. Unfortunately, damaged tissues lose their capacity for normal movement. Damage occurs in many different ways including surgery, tears (sprains & strains), repetitive stress (small tears repeated over time), breaks (ruptured ligaments, tendons & fractured bones), and damage from infection or other causes of inflammation. All tissue injuries result in the formation of scar tissue. The body crates scar tissue to knit itself back together, and its part of the normal healing process. Scars may appear anywhere on the body, and the composition may vary -- appearing flat, lumpy, sunken, colored, painful, or itchy. The final look of a scar depends on many factors, including the skin type and location on the body, the direction of the wound, the type of injury, age of the person with the scar, and his/her nutritional status.

But there's often a side effect from scar tissue. Since its purpose is to glue things together, it commonly binds tissues that weren't meant to be attached to each other. This can happen any time there's inflammation, which affects all the tissues surrounding an injury. Infections in the chest, abdomen or pelvis, and conditions such as endometriosis leave behind significant scar tissue. Physical injuries and surgery are also frequent causes. Whenever scar tissue glues thing together that are supposed to be freely moveable, there's going to be trouble. Since everything in your body is interconnected through the fascia, scar tissue in one area will eventually affect other parts of your body as well.

Since scars have a different composition than normal tissue, they don't conduct energy in the same way, and can therefore affect the flow of energy in and around the body. The size of the scar is of less importance than its location. If a scar is located on a meridian or on an acupuncture point, the disruption in energy flow can have dramatic effects in the proper functioning of body parts supplies by those circuits.

Myofacial release and muscle lengthening with Laser

Time consuming stretching and strenuous myofacial release are things of the past. One can easily and quickly unwind myofacial restrictions caused by injury, scar tissue, and lactic acid buildup with the Erchonia Laser. Percussor

The Percussor can also be used for neurotherapy or scar tissue release. Old surgical scar tissues can restrict cranial sacral flow, and cause lack of organ motility, mobility and retain energy sinks. For these restrictions, the percussor is placed on a low setting, and light pressure is applied with the listening hand. The listening-monitoring hand goes opposite, if possible, from the area being percussed. The monitoring hand resists the unwinding, and a deep release will usually ensue.

Computerized Health Assessment (CHA) is also known as Computerized Electrodermal Stress Analysis (CEDSA). The CHA has the ability to search to the very root cause of your medical condition. By using the energetic pathways of your body, CHA can discover past, current, or pre-existing conditions and their effects on your body long before most medical procedures, including blood/urine analysis, X-ray, EKG, etc.

This computerized system simply measures the energy in the body that are either in or out of balance. These energies are in pathways known as meridians. An example would be the liver meridian, spleen meridian, large intestine meridian, etc. Hopefully you see its relation to the organ/tissue systems of the body. The meridians and energy are based on the science of Acupuncture. When your body's energies are out of balance, what you normally see is a decline in one's health.
